      As we continue to evolve our organization we are recruiting a Finance Director EMEA. Reporting to the VP, Global Commercial Finance, the Regional Finance Director (EMEA) will lead the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) finance team and provide expert financial and business guidance to ensure execution and achievement of the Company’s strategy. As a key member of the EMEA Leadership Team, this leader will drive a deep understanding of the financial plans, results and performance indicators to accelerate profitable growth. This leader will deliver value-added business analysis through defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics resulting in clear, insightful, comprehensive and timely financial guidance to drive forward thinking business decisions. EMEA is QuidelOrtho’s second largest region with 14 direct markets / 5 indirect markets.

      Role can be based in multiple locations across EMEA region, preferred is Milan - Italy.

      Key responsibilities:

      Act as a thought leader and partner with the SVP, Head of EMEA and broader EMEA Leadership Team on identifying and quantifying strategic projects to drive operational and financial improvements.

      Lead the development of annual operating plans and forecast updates, monitor financial performance throughout the year and work closely with the EMEA leadership team to achieve operational and financial targets

      Provide leadership and development to 10 direct reports and an extended team of 34 individuals. Drive engagement throughout the organization to attract, develop and retain top talent.

      Accurate and timely reporting under US GAAP and local statutory standards. Support the Global Tax Team in the filling of local tax returns. Execution of internal controls and support the Global Internal Audit team in the annual testing of internal controls.

      Partner with the EMEA Commercial Operations and Analytics team to develop data driven insights into sales performance and market segmentation to drive operational improvements in our go to market approach.

      Work with the Global Integration Team on the integration of the legacy Quidel and Ortho businesses into one organization with a common culture, tools, processes, systems.

      Profile:

      • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (must) or MBA ( preferred)
      • 10-15 years of experience in Corporate Finance & Accounting
      • Medical Industry preferred
      • Strong leadership skills throughout the entire organization, enabling effective partnering.
      • Ability to successfully introduce changes.
      • Effectively drives collaboration & compliance through by partnering with the Management Team and in sharing functional expertise/enhance partnerships to drive the achievement of strategic goals.
      • Collaborates with the Management Team to establish the correct goals for the company, identify appropriate metrics and remediation plans.
      • Influence stakeholders in the decision-making process
      • Demonstrates flexibility, must be equally prepared to challenge the status quo and to respond appropriately when challenged on the key business issues
      • Develops a strong finance organization (ability to lead), continuously coaching to improve business capabilities and competency of Finance team.
