About this opportunity The EMEA Trade Compliance Analyst, actively drives Align Technology’s commitment to complying with trade import/export laws applicable to our operations. This role is also responsible for the import and export compliance in EMEA region, supporting the establishment of an efficient trade business model and border cross operation as well as customs trade compliance relations, including related tax compliance. You will be reporting directly to Trade Compliance Manager EMEA. In this role, you will… Be based in Wrocław, you will serve as the analyst driving for import and export compliance for the EMEA region Work collaboratively with cross-functional process owners (i.e. Customs, VAT, Finance, Operations, Logistics), carriers and customs brokers Provide periodic reporting and reconciliation for import VAT reclaims purpose on a timely manner Conduct periodic, internal audits of documentations to ensure compliance with customs and related VAT requirements Ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented in response to any findings in the import/export compliance audits Support data retrieving and automation projects Proactively identify value-added opportunities to improve efficiencies, minimize customs and compliance risks and reduce costs Support compliance program, including: recordkeeping and post entry review Monitor import and export flows in EMEA in order to assure customs and related tax compliance Actively support logistics and customs specialists across the EMEA region Support trade compliance projects and initiatives In this role, you’ll need … Detailed oriented, working with numbers, multiple databases and documents Thorough knowledge and familiarity with customs and international shipping documentation Understanding of customs and related tax regulations Ability to demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks, work independently Provide a responsiveness across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership English B2 (written and spoken), another European language a plus Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, customs and logistics with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience; advanced degree is preferred Sound like a good fit?
