      VCA Aurora Animal Hospital invites you to be our newest Emergency Patient Care Coordinator!

      VCA Aurora Animal Hospital, located in Aurora, IL, offers a wide range of specialty, critical care, and emergency services.

      Our Emergency and Critical Care Service:

      Our Emergency and Critical Care Team is the heart of our hospital. Our Emergency and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) mirrors what one would find at a human medical center. By incorporating advanced techniques derived from veterinary and human medicine, we can ensure that our patients are being treated in the best possible way.

      As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

      Duties will include:

      • Heavy client contact, including in-depth client education. Including presenting and explaining treatment plans and discharging patients to clients.
      • Coordinate patient-care services.
      • Accurately entering charges.
      • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services.
      • Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.

      Schedule : Full-time opportunity. We utilize a "4x10" schedule (4-day work week, 10-hour shifts). Day/ 1st Shift, 7 am - 5 pm.

      Requirements:

      • One year or more of experience in medical documentation or one year or more of experience in veterinary medicine.
