- POSITION SUMMARY
- The EMT I performs pre-hospital care in a holistic systematic way, produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Utilizes State of Alabama Protocols to deliver quality patient care. Incorporates data and information to improve patient care. Performs a comprehensive patient assessment by interpreting multiple, at times conflicting data, and proceeding to give patient care based on findings. Documents patient care activities and relays pertinent patient information to those who have a need to know. Drivers and operates emergency vehicles is a safe manner in accordance to state rules and regulations.

- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a EMT I Certificate program

Required Registration/License/Certification- EVOC within 90 days
- BLS within 90 days
- Drivers License
- Alabama EMT I License
- National Registry upon hire unless grandfathered in before registry was mandatory
