Willoughby-Eastlake City School District - website - Assist district staff with understanding and interpretation of EMIS reports.
- Attend EMIS Coordinator meetings, seminars, workshops, etc. to maintain accurate knowledge of EMIS requirements as needed.
- Monitor and adhere to all state and federal changes to EMIS reporting.
- Share reports from the Secure Data Center (SDC) with applicable district staff.
- Provide a primary point of contact for questions from staff regarding the use of administrative application systems, classroom computers and network usage.
- Provide end-user software support related to general computer technology including problem resolution, and software installation.
- Provide individual training for office staff using student administrative software.
- Provide technical support and training for the Information Systems Specialist I/II.
- Serve as District Liaison with the ITC Site and the State Department of Education (re: requirements/procedures of student and staff data reporting for EMIS).
- Communicate student and staff reporting requirements/procedures to employees responsible for EMIS data collection.
- Submit EMIS data to the ITC Site in a timely fashion as required by ODE.
- Review resulting EMIS reports for missing and/or incorrect data.
- Investigate and work with appropriate end-user(s) to resolve EMIS reporting errors as necessary.
- Develop or update documentation for new or existing computer application systems.
- Develop data interface procedures as needed to transfer data in/out of student information system.

12 months /7.5 hours per day/5 days per week
Location: Administration Building/Computer Services
Hourly Rate of Pay: $33.05-$35.23 (will follow the 2024-2025 salary schedule)

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Provide primary responsibility for EMIS reporting, Help Desk, data interface/access and applications support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills – This position requires extensive technical knowledge of the State EMIS reporting system and ability to successfully submit all EMIS data to meet State timelines; the ability to identify application system problems and suggest appropriate solutions and/or work with current vendor to resolve problem(s); the ability to work with end-users to resolve technology-related problems; the ability to develop data interfaces between various systems to meet the needs of the district; strong verbal and written skills – including the ability to effectively communicate with non-technical staff; the ability to adopt to a changing technical environment; general technical knowledge of personal computer systems, commercial application programs and networking concepts; and the ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities and complete projects with specific deadlines.

Education/Training – Associates Degree or 5 years’ EMIS experience
Experience – Experience with District’s current student application systems, web publishing and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is required. Experience and knowledge of Ohio’s EMIS and SSID systems, local DAS EMIS programs, and data download procedures is required.
