    • Plans and implements an instructional program that provides appropriate learning experiences for each student.

    • Coordinates instructional activities and collaborates with other professional staff, both school and non-school based, as required to maximize learning opportunities.
    • Participates in professional development activities and other staff meetings as required or assigned.
    • Provides continuous communication with parents, both written and oral, to keep them informed of their child's progress.
    • Communicates with students, parents, professionals, and support personnel in and outside the school to share information and to support/encourage involvement.
    • Performs related duties as required or assigned.
    • Must be enrolled in any state approved teacher preparation program towards a teacing license to be completed by June of 2025.
    • Successful experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred (does not apply to current HCS employees).
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Excellent organizational, planning, and human relations skills.
    • Have knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment.
    • Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of children.

      $40,000; $45,000 (bachelor's degree awarded)


      This is an opportunity for candidates enrolled in a state approved teacher preparation program to be hired as the classroom teacher while completing student teaching. Employed Student Teachers will work with HCS student placement coordinator to ensure student teacher program requirements are being met. Employed Student Teachers will also establish an individual licensure plan to include a timeline with the Human Resources Department and work toward meeting requirements while employed in the position. Letters of Employment will be written for a one-year placement with the possiblity to be offered a contract as soon as teaching license requirements are met.
