      Overview
      Provides comprehensive occupational health and safety services to team members to include compliance for all OSHA Regulations, CDC and CMS guides along with Virginia Workers Compensation and Riverside Care Difference Guidelines. Supervises clinical and non-clinical team members and works under the supervision of the Riverside Health System (RHS) System Director of Employee Occupational Health (EOH).

      What you will do
      • Responsible for the daily management of the Riverside Regional Medical Center (RRMC) Peninsula Clinic including budget management, oversight and support of staff (scheduling, hiring disciplinary action), and daily operations. Assure adherence to the clinical practice regulations, polices, and guidelines of the Virginia Board of Nursing, Riverside Health System, and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Identify trends in work related illness and injury, recommend and implement corrective actions where appropriate. Report out to appropriate committees and agencies as required. Recommend corrective actions based on trends. Implement corrective actions.
      • Assure provision of required medical surveillance/screening and vaccinations (including respiratory protection, TB screening, and seasonal flu vaccination),post-offer medical clearances, workplace/injury illness care and other EOH Programs to employees across the region. Continuous improvement of EOH processes to assure services extended to employees at all region locations. Plan and prepare programs and communications with staff and leaders to facilitate maximum compliance with RHS staff health requirements. Required participation at regional health and safety meetings (e.g., daily safety huddles, Physical Environment committee, Lifelong Health compliance, etc.). Prepare and comply with state and federal reporting and record keeping requirements, including OSHA compliance and DNV accreditation requests.
      • Work with the worker’s comp third party administrator (TPA). Serve as liaison representing workers comp claims. Collaborate with HR and leaders regarding best practices in preventing and managing injuries/ exposures and claims. Facilitate an efficient return to work process for team members through collaboration with HR Business Partners/Leave Management and leaders, employees, and treating medical providers, and our TPA. Regular collaboration with HR on medical ADA accommodations. Manage high dollar or high profile cases as needed or requested by the System Director. Oversee clinical staff management of workers compensation claims including bill payment, return to work guidelines and plans of action.

      Qualifications

      Education
      • Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Required)

      Experience
      • 2 years Clinical management experience which includes overseeing clinical staff and/or employee occupational health programs (Preferred)

      Licenses and Certifications
      • Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)
      • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
