Present live training sessions and record training sessions in English and Spanish, as needed
- Coordinate presentation and outreach schedules for multiple employee type audiences, including securing room accommodations.
- Formulate presentation outlines and determine instructional methods to conduct individual and group training/presentations, meetings and workshops.
- Assist in developing teaching aids such as handbooks, employee guides, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, brochures and reference works.
- Conduct presentations covering specified areas such as employee benefits, payroll, retirement, tuition assistance through in-person and recorded webinar sessions.
- Maintain online digital courses and assets that instruct employee population in topic areas of payroll and benefits.
- Assist with design components, as needed.
- Maintain internal training modules for PBA internal training.
- Implement coaching sessions for internal new hires in topic areas of payroll and benefits.
- Maintain document libraries, inventory or resources and update schedules.
- Apply accessibility components to all online digital assets and electronic resources.
- Maintain a growth mindset in technology developments in relationship to learning design for employee education.
- Collaborate with departmental subject matter experts (SME’s) to document departmental process, procedures, and employee information.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with campus partners to develop presentation materials and effectively receive and act on feedback.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee questions via phone or email, including supporting the employees and retirees during open enrollment period or other high-volume periods of time.
- Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and a better understanding of benefits policies, procedures, regulations, Employee Services, and Benefits business initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis)
- One (1) year of equivalent experience in general office administration or outreach, creating and presenting trainings, or related experience
- Travel to multiple campuses, as needed
- Two (2) years of experience, as stated above
- Experience using PeopleSoft HCM
- Experience with basic payroll and benefits business processes
- Experience in the designing and delivery of training
- Experience in language translation and interpretation
- Individually, or in collaboration with team members, translate written documents from English into Spanish, as needed
- Proficient in both English and Spanish, with the ability to translate both languages
- Knowledge of business office operations, filing, and administrative duties.
- Knowledge of benefit and payroll processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public, to maintain confidentiality in daily operations, to conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.
- Knowledge of and skilled in using PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency in, or ability to learn Rise.com, Articulate 360 suite, PPT, SharePoint and ability to learn other online course/asset programs.
- Awareness and ability to maintain accessibility standards for all digital assets and pdf employee resources.
- Demonstrated high level of dedication to customer service.
- Analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of and ability to edit communications and presentations
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to multiple campuses.
- Knowledge of the University of Colorado structure and operations, or other institutions of higher education.

Position Summary: Employee Services provides the CU community with services from recruitment to retirement. The office provides technicalexpertise while administering benefits, professional development, payroll, individual tax management, and strategic HR programs. The functional areas of Employee Services include payroll, technologies, benefits, retirement, financial education, learning and development, international tax and human resources.
The Department of Employee Services is currently seeking an Employee Outreach and Education Professional to add to the team. The ideal candidate would, although not required, bring the ability to be bilingual and to translate English into Spanish. This position is responsible for the execution of the payroll and benefit programs employee outreach and education initiatives and employee resource content. This position works collaboratively to help build employee resources and workshops in the areas of payroll and benefits for CU’s diverse employee population across four campuses and within CU Systems. This person must be willing to travel to the various CU campuses. Through collaborative and innovative efforts, they are responsible for aiding in the development, scheduling, and execution of employee instructional opportunities such as payroll and benefits orientations, workshops and outreach events.
The Employee Outreach and Education Professional must also be a highly organized professional, self-directed, a fast learner, able to respond well to constantly evolving priorities. This individual will be a dedicated team player, have the ability to deliver presentations/trainings, a good understanding of adult learning theories, and an appreciation for higher education. The individual in this position will be in a customer-facing role and must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees, campus partners and the general public. This role requires the Employee Outreach and Education Professional to uphold confidentiality in all aspects of daily operations while presenting a professional customer service demeanor.
This position is under the supervision of the Program Director of Inclusive Employee Outreach and is exempt from the State of Colorado Classified system.
Where You Will Work: This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule, working some days from home and some days in office at our 1800 Grant Street Office. Duties and Responsibilities:
