What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and workplace conflicts
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management and difficult conversations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws in both the US and Canada
- Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics
- Track and analyze employee relations metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5-7+ years of progressive employee relations experience
- Experience working with both US and Canadian employment law requirements
- Strong investigation and case management skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and case management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification
- Employment law or investigation certification
