- Consults and assists with issues related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)by updating and maintaining personnel records in PeopleSoft ADA module; reviewing, tracking, maintaining, and reporting ADA accommodation requests; and developing solutions for ADA and FMLA issues.
- Coordinates, reviews, and processes termination appeals received by the department; develops and disseminates information and communications with internal personnel and external agencies; and tracks and maintains related documentation throughout appeals life-cycle process.
- Coordinates open records requests for the Human Resources Division; develops monthly report of requests, and provides open records guidance and training for HR personnel on the Public Information Act.
- Provides disciplinary action support by assisting with maintenance of reports; running queries, conducting initial file reviews, assigning behavior type codes, editing report descriptions, and communicating updates to HR staff.
- Develops presentations, informational materials, and conducts outreach on issues involving the ADA, FMLA and other employment related issues.
- Develops, reviews, and updates forms, policies, procedures, and other guidance documents related to employee accommodations, appeals, and other employment related issues.
- Prepare human resources correspondence and reports, including confidential correspondence and reports.

- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 2 years of human resources experience. Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent. Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
