      Job Summary:

      Polaris is on the lookout for a passionate and seasoned Employee Relations Manager to lead the charge in enhancing the work environment at our Huntsville, AL facility. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape our HR practices, cultivate meaningful employee relationships, and foster a culture of collaboration and growth. As a key player, you'll report to the Sr. HR Manager for the site and collaborate with our corporate Labor and Employee Relations Department.

      Responsibilities:

      Employee Relations Strategy:

      o Your primary responsibility is to own and drive our Positive Employee Relations strategy, setting the bar high and measuring success through key performance indicators.

      o Offer expert guidance and consultation on a wide range of Employee Relations matters, from HR policy interpretation to resolving employee concerns while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

      Investigation & Resolution:

      o Conduct thorough investigations into policy violations and ensure timely resolutions. Prepare investigative reports, make recommendations for discipline, and maintain impeccable records of findings.

      o Handle employee relations issues and investigations with efficiency; conduct thorough research, interviews, and data analysis during the investigative phase; communicate effective and appropriate results to key stakeholders and employees.

      Communication & Listening:

      o Lead site HR Audit process, round tables, or other ‘employee listening’ cadences.

      o Ensure strong employee communication cadences in place in partnership with site HR team.

      Training:

      o Lead by example and provide Positive Employee Relations and other related trainings to team members.

      o Training responsibilities could include training leaders or hourly team members.

      o May develop training on new policies or processes as needed.

      Policy Management:

      o Maintain and enforce employee relations policies; ensure consistent application and compliance with government regulations and laws.

      o Lead handbook roll-outs at a site level when policy changes occur.

      Collaborative Leadership:

      o Work closely with leadership, management, EHS and HR team members, and relevant corporate functions to drive employee relations strategy and resolve related issues.

      o Contribute to the team's overall efforts, accomplishing related results and taking on additional duties or projects as assigned.

      Experience & Skills:

      · Seasoned Professional: With over 7 years of progressive Labor Relations/Employee Relations, &/or Human Resources experience, with expertise within manufacturing &/or distribution environments being strongly preferred.

      · Change Management: Proven success implementing employee relations programs and initiatives, along with change management and facilitation experience is required.

      · Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to navigate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

      · Calm Under Pressure: Exceptional investigation skills and the ability to maintain composure during challenging employee situations.

      · Influential Communicator: Strong communication skills that enable you to influence and build credibility at all organizational levels.

      · Independent Decision-Making: Exhibit sound decision-making skills, think critically, and make choices in a fast-paced environment.

      · Continuous Improvement: Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, always seeking ways to drive value, innovation, and efficiency.

      · Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS system-based software. Strong analytical skills, with expertise in MS Excel and Power BI preferred.

      Education:

      · Bachelor's Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

      · Preferred: A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

      Working Conditions:

      · Reporting: Report to the site Sr. HR Manager while collaborating with the corporate Labor and Employee Relations Department.
