We want you to join our Team and make a difference!The Employee Support and Resource Coordinator performs as an active member of the Employee Support and Resource (ESR) team within the Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS). Assists Department management with the administration of Department and County hiring, onboarding, offboarding processes, and administrative functions. Assists with coordination and implementation of employee training and development initiatives, and other activities that support Department leadership with employee management and engagement. Communicates Department information and activities through written announcements and summaries. Motivated to support customer success. $31.73 - $40.20 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab on the job posting). The position will normally start at $31.73 per hour.This position is non-exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act.As an applicant for this position, you should be aware of Senate Bill 19-085, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The act requires employers to announce the pay range for job openings. This range encompasses the nine pay steps available should you receive the position and demonstrate satisfactory performance over time.The following job duties are established to outline the basic duties and responsibilities of the above captioned position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Hiring Process Support (20%):• In conjunction with Human Resources (HR), coordinates the candidate selection and acquisition process for positions within the Department of Human Services, which includes coordinating interviews, posting open job information internally, and communicating action steps for all candidates and business partners. • Guides, informs, and supports Department supervisors and managers throughout the hiring process. • Facilitates employee background check process for new, transferring or promoting employees. • Supports the Department intern and work experience programs using established employee processes to integrate and welcome participants into the Department. • Submits all required employee documentation to HR and Logistics for new, transferring or promoting employees so they receive necessary access and security timely. • Provides clear, thorough, and helpful information to new, transferring or promoting employees through appropriate written and verbal communications. Onboarding Support (15%):• Facilitates and leads Department on-boarding orientations, trainings, and other activities to acclimate new employees to WCDHS. • Communicates employment related information to new employees through-out the onboarding process using telephone, written correspondence, and in-person conversations to provide a welcoming environment. • Serves as an informational reference to support new and veteran employees in locating information related to their employment and supports employee understanding of and adherence to Department and County policies and procedures. • Works in collaboration with Department managers to support their efforts in onboarding new employees and progressing employee development and engagement. Offboarding Support (10%):• Coordinates with Human Resources, Logistics, and supervisors during employee off-boarding to terminate access to systems, process timecards, and deactivate employee ID badges timely.• Submits appropriate documentation to terminate employment and remove employment related flags and system access. • Supports exit surveys and interviews and communicates results to Director and Deputy Director. Organization Support and Coordination (15%): • Manages the Random Moment Time Sample (RMTS) program at WCDHS.• Manages the Employee ID Badge process at DHS using the Protégé system to program employee, guest, and vendor ID badges supporting building safety and security. This includes coordinating with employees and Human Resources to acquire replacement badges for lost or damaged badges. • Submits appropriate human resources documentation to initiate step increases, supervisor changes and other employee data changes. • Assists Department leadership in identifying any concerns or training needs of new and veteran employees through analyzing trend reports and employee feedback.• Develops and conducts supervisor trainings and workshops to promote understanding and implementation of County and Department policies, procedures, and practices. • Coordinates Department learning opportunities including the “All About Us” series and Job Shadowing program for employees.Communication (20%):• Collects, tracks, and distributes trend information and data in a timely and informational manner to Department leadership, including results of onboarding surveys, exit and transfer surveys, and turnover and retention data.• Prepares and maintains tracking and data sources such as organizational charts and position tracking logs.• Presents collected data, new processes, and other relevant information to management groups, leadership, and division units to promote understanding and engagement. This may include survey results, RMTS process, hiring process, and other department processes. • Prepares and distributes Department communications and announcements. • Maintains a high level of professional and informative communication and presentation style during all interactions with employees, supervisors, and other County staff. • Coordinates and participates in Department supported activities and committees that promote employee engagement. • Serves as the WCDHS liaison to the County Wellness Committee and regularly shares County-wide information with Department staff. • Serves as the Department Liaison for the G.I.V.E. Committee.Professionalism and Teamwork (15%):• Cultivates a positive and respectful work environment. • Demonstrates and promotes positive and respectful conversations bringing forward ideas and concerns in a solution focused manner, committing to team solutions.• Understands and demonstrates proactive actions and engagement in fostering teamwork.• Understands how one’s day to day work significantly impacts the team’s success.Other Duties as Assigned (5%):• Follow policies and procedures, the Weld County Code of Conduct and adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and appropriate release of information outlined in both.• Any one position may not include all duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree preferred.OREquivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability for the position may be considered in lieu of the degree.• Four (4) years professional work experience with three of those years performing in a customer/employee focused capacity. • Business or clerical experience in an office environment.• Experience presenting information or educating individuals.• Candidate must possess ability to keyboard at 35 words per minute.• Candidate must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and Liability Insurance. • Candidate must provide own transportation and be willing to travel throughout Weld County.• Candidate must pass Human Services Background Checks.• Candidate must possess the ability to enter data into several different computer programs.• Candidate must possess the ability to learn and apply new computer skills on a regular basis.• Candidate must possess the knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Windows and Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Candidate must possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and department policies and procedures. • Candidate must possess the ability to write correspondence.• Candidate must possess the ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.• Candidate must possess the ability to apply math concepts and calculations in the work environment.• Candidate must possess the ability to apply common sense to problem solve in a work environment.• Candidate must possess the ability to adapt to fast paced, high volume and ever-changing work environment and be able to handle high stress situations.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience working in a human services environment.• Experience with employee development processes.• Experience providing trainings, workshops, or other educational presentations.• Experience in onboarding or employee orientation.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
