Employment Lawyer, Grade 15 -16 (£53,607- £60,819)
Croydon is London's second largest borough-full of brilliant and diverse people, businesses, and places. As a council we're going through tremendous change radically reshaping and renewing our organisation as a result of financial challenges. We are essentially building a brand new council - one that is focused on getting things right for its residents, while delivering very differently and within a sustainable financial envelope.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a new and exciting role. Ideally you will have local government experience, but we also welcome applications from those who come from the private sector. We are looking for a full time Employment Lawyer to join our Corporate Law and Litigation legal team and play a key leading role in the successful delivery of quality legal services to the Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a varied and intellectually challenging caseload in relation to employment matters.
You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 5 years PQE or a minimum of 4 years PQE and hold the Law Society Diploma in Local Government Law (or similar relevant qualification). The grade is based on level of experience.
