      DXC Technology Legal

      This Position is part of DXC’s global legal group which currently has approx. 500 members. It is dedicated to employment law and is a member of the global employment law and regional legal teams. The employment law team provides employment law advice and support to the DXC Technology group and works closely with DXC Human Resources, Total Rewards, HR Transformation Solutions, Employment Relations and DXC Integrity (Ethics and Compliance).

      Purpose

      The Position provides employment law and associated areas such as ethics and compliance, workplace investigations, employment disputes and litigation handling, as well as people transfer aspects of M&A and other commercial transactions support for DXC as required. The role primarily supports DXC in Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand. The jurisdictions supported may change according to business need. Opportunities to provide support in jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa may also arise according to business need.

      Key Responsibilities

      Advising on employment related matters Drafting and negotiating employment related documentation Involvement in dispute and litigation management and resolution particularly investigations, mediations, and conciliations Involvement in instructing, working with and managing external counsel Contributing to the development, implementation and refresh of consistent policy, processes, guidance, templates (subject to local law and practice) and training on employment and related areas of the law including privacy and workplace health and safety including taking account of changes to the law, best practice and DXC Assist and support compliance with employment related regulation Liaison and consultation with regulators and third parties on people related matters as required Working closely and collaboratively with the regional legal and global employment law teams, as well as key stakeholders including Human Resources, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, HR Transformation Solutions, Tax, Finance, Operations, and other parts of the DXC Technology group as required

      Qualifications and Experience

      A minimum of 3 years legal experience preferred. Employment law experience of 2 years combined with general commercial law, intellectual property and/or litigation experience will be considered. Strong written, verbal, negotiation, research, data preparation and analysis and presentation skills. Experience working with medium to large companies, as well as experience across several jurisdictions e.g. Australia and New Zealand preferred rather than required. Admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia or New Zealand preferred, although other jurisdictions may be considered. Holds, or ability to hold, a practising certificate from a relevant law society. Ability to work in Australia or New Zealand as required. Immigration related sponsorship is not currently available for the Position.
