- BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.
- Primarily responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, BSA Health System Policies, and Department Guidelines
- Safely operate emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, BSA Policies, and Department Guidelines
- Accept other tasks as assigned by the EMS Director
- Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion
- Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction “A” permissible
- Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS)
- Field experience
- National Registry
- Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services
