- Req#: 960458
- Operates an emergency vehicle, responding to emergency and non-emergency scenes and transporting patients to appropriate destinations.
- Ensures that the assigned ambulance and items of equipment are stocked, clean, maintained and ready to use.
- Assists in the assessment of the patient in order to promote optimal levels throughout pre-hospital care.
- Demonstrates proficiency in pre-hospital basic life support skills.
- Demonstrates appropriate radio communications including; fluency, organization, and accuracy.
- Licensure: EMT license for the state where employed, valid driver's license.
- Experience: Applicants must be at least 19 years of age to operate Mercy EMS vehicles.
- Certifications: Hazmat Awareness, BLS for Healthcare Providers, NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 within 90 days of hire.
- Other: May be required to work differing shifts and schedules.

Position : Emergency Medical Tech (EMT-B)
Location : Springfield
Hours / Shift : Full-Time, 84 Hours Per Pay Period, 12 Hour Shifts
Sign-On Bonus: May be eligible for up to $2,000
Overview :
Performs direct patient care including assessment, evaluation, and basic life support. The EMT may also perform clerical, dispatch, and maintenance duties as required.
