      The Mobile Integrated Health Community Paramedic partners with PMG teams for the care and management of patients engaged with Providence. The Community Paramedic will be assigned by a physician for initial assessment and directed management of clinical conditions, with tasks including collection of vital signs, basic physical assessment, gathering patient information, facilitating communication with providers, assisting with follow-up scheduling, using predetermined care plan protocols, and documenting in the electronic health record. The Community Paramedic may be directed in real-time by a provider to implement medical services including placing an IV, administering IV fluids or medications, drawing labs or obtaining other diagnostic tests, obtaining an EKG, using a nebulizer, placing a urinary catheter, or other direct care services within the paramedic scope of practice as directed by a physician. The MIH Community Paramedic possesses clinical skills in emergency medicine, with additional training or experience in common ambulatory conditions, with an understanding of primary care and the integrated health system.       Required Qualifications:

      • Education/Training as required to meet licensure
      • Required upon hire: Oregon Paramedic - Oregon Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems (Vendor Managed)
      • Required upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Vendor Managed)
      • 3 years Experience as a paramedic for either 911, transfer service, or Mobile Integrated Health program.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Associate's Degree Emergency Medical Services Management, Business Administration, or other related degree. Or equivalent educ/experience
        • Skills acquired through military experience as medical personnel or senior clinical nursing student
      • 5 years Experience as a paramedic in a high-performance 911 system.
      • Trainer or instructor experience.
      • Critical care experience.
