What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct building energy audits in the field, especially for multifamily buildings
- Assess energy performance of buildings to recommend cost-effective energy efficiency upgrades, particularly for HVAC systems
- Coordinate with equipment vendors and installers to ensure customer needs are met
- Manage and perform quality control inspections for energy efficiency projects
- Review multifamily building inspections to ensure compliance with program requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 years of experience in energy auditing with a focus on multifamily projects
- 3 years of experience in quality control inspections with experience in multifamily projects
- Building Performance Institute Certifications: Energy Auditor, Quality Control Inspector, Multifamily Building Analyst
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- Firm understanding of HVAC systems in buildings, particularly multifamily
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- BPI MF Energy Auditor Certification
- Weatherization program QCI Certification
- BPI Multifamily Building Analyst Certification
- Understanding of Healthy Homes assessments
- Strong skills in communication, documentation, and attention to detail
