At LCRA, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work as a Power Plant Electrician! In this role, having past experience in a Hydro power plant or in an industrial plant situation would be beneficial. This is an opportunity to work on Hydro generators and operate floodgates to control the river flow during the floods. This is a maintenance Job with a chance to expand your knowledge of electricity, mechanical and I/C all in house. Living within an hour of the facility to be able to respond to trouble calls in a timely manner is a must. Excellent pay and benefit package is available to full time employees. You will be trusted to:
- Be available for call out after hours.
- Be available during extreme weather conditions on the electrical grid.
- Supply basic hand tools.
- Work in close areas.
- Work in hazardous weather conditions.
- Problem solve work related issues and work till it's fixed.You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in maintenance and/or construction of electrical power generation, transmission, distribution, substation and control equipment, and/or other types of electrical equipment, including experience reading blueprints or relevant experience.
- Driver's license required for incumbents assigned to the dam & hydro function.
- Class A Texas commercial driver's license or equivalent from another state required for incumbents with heavy equipment operation and transportation responsibilities.You are a great fit with:
