      Job Description:
      • Employees in this role have the responsibility of planning, designing, and executing various aspects of
        energy storage projects.
      • This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, engineering
        oversight and consulting across cross functional teams to deliver a best-in-class product.
      • The ideal candidate embodies a blend of technical expertise with strong project management skills, and
        has pertinent experience the energy storage field.

      Responsibilities:
      • Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects.
      • Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and strive for better design quality and efficiency.
      • Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions.
      • Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
      • Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers.
      • Influence project teams on engineering tasks.
      • Stay updated on project progress and technical issues.
      • Manage project milestones and recognize risks
      • Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
      • Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls.
      • Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure clear communication, andpropose solutions
      • Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements.
      • Handle other assigned duties as needed.
      • Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties.

      Experience:
      • 3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction
      • Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design.
      • Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.
      • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections)
      • Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730

      Skills:
      • Ability to handle specialized technical tasks independently.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

      Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree
