      Req#: R3346

      Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Engineer. Build, operate, and support highly available, scalable platform tools and systems in a microservice environment for internal engineering teams. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering, Computer and Information Technology, quantitative Mathematics, or similar quantitative field (foreign equivalent accepted), plus at least 2 years of experience in the proffered position or similar role (e.g., Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Application Engineer, Software Engineer) with utilizing cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP) to implement virtualization, networking, databases, and message queuing. Work experience must also include at least 2 years of experience with the following: (1) designing, building, testing, deploying, observing, and maintaining code written in Python or Golang; (2) managing Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Cloud Formation or Terraform; (3) utilizing containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) on a Linux platform; (4) networking concepts (e.g., virtual networking, subnets, routing, load balancing, DNS) and network security; and (5) using and supporting datastores (e.g., Postgres, Redis). This position is fully remote and may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Company HQ in Birmingham, AL. Limited travel to company’s offices for work reasons may be needed.
