Job Summary Responsible for planning and designing internal communications network. Plays an important role in the testing and certifying of new hardware, configurations and services prior to deployment to the Company Network. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. Job Description Job Overview Supports, contributes to and may perform some independent development of software applications which monitor, measure, or alter our customer-facing production networks and network elements. Participates in on-call, after-hours, rotation approximately one week every month. The position serves and interacts with internal customers in National, Divisional, and regional teams. Works with XOC’s (network operations center) to mitigate supported software service interruptions. Breadth & Depth Under moderate guidance performs routine work. Begins to impact projects. Basic Linux/Unix or Windows server administration skills Technical writing (emphasis on code documentation) Revision control familiarity (GIT, SVN, etc.) IP Networking basics Experience with & exposure to Comcast delivery networks – (HFC basics ie; headend topology, CMTS/cable modem concepts, enterprise IP/CRAN functions, data center) Specialty Capabilities Experience with software development of one or more languages. Relevant Work Experience 2-5 Years Salary: National Pay Range: $48,372.84 USD-$113,373.83 USD Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
