Job Summary Responsible for the high level planning and costing of large-scale broadband communications projects. Ensures adherence to project specifications. Prepares and maintains project documentation. Works with moderate supervision/guidance. Please note: this position is office optimal-4 days in office and 1 day remote a week Job Description Core Responsibilities: High level planning and costing of large-scale projects for Business Development and other stakeholders. May be required to work with Business Development, Design, Construction, Advanced Engineering, XOC, AEGIS, and other stakeholders to assess build opportunities and Network Architecture needs. Produces layout designs for coaxial and fiber placement and fiber routing and connectivity. Verifies designs are in adherence to regional hybrid fiber coax (HFC) architecture and designs specifications Prepares prints, special maps, key maps, graphs, diagrams, and graphic drawings for use by other departments. Plans Coax Networks (brownfield/greenfield, mid-split, relocates, tie points). Plans Fiber networks. Produces specific sets of deliverables for presentation decks Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Must Have: Strong understanding of OSP design for fiber optic and coaxial networks, including FTTx, EPON, RFoG, N+0, muxing, and HFC architectures General understanding of how Comcast’s network operates from Headend to Customer Must be able to work well with others Must be self-motivated and driven Must maintain high expectations for themselves and the organization as a whole Must be able to embrace change and navigate themselves and others through it Preferred Skills: AutoCAD Facility Search Spectrum Watchtower MS Excel/Power Point Spatial Net Employees at all levels are expected to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job. Relevant Work Experience 2-5 Years Salary: Primary Location Pay Range: $62,367.31 - $93,550.96 Additional Range: This job can be performed in California with a Pay Range of $62,367.31 - $106,307.91 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
