      Job Title: Engineer Additive Manufacturing

      Location: Barrow-in-Furness

      Salary – Competitive

      What you’ll be doing:

      · Champion additive manufacturing throughout the business

      · Support additive manufacturing research and development activities

      · Work closely with and provide advice surrounding additive manufacturing to Designers and Engineers

      · Develop relationships with teams in other BAE business unites involved in AM

      · Support qualification work with respect to additively manufactured parts

      · Setting up, operating and maintaining additive manufacturing equipment where required

      Your skills and experiences:

      Essential:

      · Sound understanding of various additive manufacturing processes

      · Knowledge surrounding the challenges faced with qualifying additively manufactured parts

      · Experience with undertaking research or development projects and presenting outcomes

      · Basic understanding of CAD and practical operating additive manufacturing equipment

      The Materials Technology Team:

      The role will be working in a newly formed Additive Manufacturing Team within the Materials Technology Department. As a brand new team there is the opportunity to contribute to the direction going forward and help develop and enduring capability for the business.
