About the role

As an engineer, you will be part of Directory Services team within the Commodity Computer tech area. Directory Services is a critical backbone within Infrastructure and Cloud Services domain and ANZ as a whole. The team works day to day on designing, managing and operating Active Directory Domain Infrastructure in a large multi-forest environment. The candidate should have good knowledge and experience in managing the Directory Services environment. The candidate should also have knowledge and understanding of related technologies like DNS, DHCP, ADFS and Azure AD. He should be a team player who is able to learn and gain knowledge in different areas of technology including Cloud technologies. Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell is a plus
What will your day look like
• Work on planned initiatives/improvements as well as BAU (Incidents, Requests, Problems) in the Directory Services space.
• Identify improvement areas and design and implement solutions that increase performance and reduce problems/incidents in the environment.
• Automate manual tasks to increase performance and productivity while removing possibilities of human errors.
• Keep the environment compliant and free from any bugs and misconfigurations.
• Work with other areas and support them in broader initiatives.
• Document common solutions to issues and publish them.

But back to some of the skills –
• Good Knowledge of all areas of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Knowledge and understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of Azure Active Directory (Hybrid).
• Knowledge and understanding of Single Sign On Solutions using ADFS, SAML etc.
• Be able to create simple scripts using PowerShell and AD, Azure AD cmdlets
• Strong knowledge of Windows Servers and Client Operating System.
• Understanding of supporting technologies such as SCCM, SCOM, VMWare, Hyper-V.
• Ability to work independently whilst also being a team player.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
