  • Job Description

      Req#: 289004

Are you a Mechanical, Process, Design, Industrial, Production or Validation Engineer ready to bring your skills to develop, support and grow our assembly and packaging production? Are you looking for a position in which your knowledge will ensure that our worldwide projects advance in the right direction? Is it your dream to join a diverse and dynamic team? The time is now: apply and join our Assembly & Packaging team within Device Manufacturing Development!

      The Position
As Engineer for Assembly & Packaging Manufacturing Development, you will have the chance to enter projects in the development and implementation phases for assembly and packaging lines across our many global production sites. Our promise to you is that there will be variety in the daily work, alongside a truly international team.

What do we concretely expect you will do? In this role you will:

      • Contribute to the design of manufacturing equipment and related assembly and packaging processes.
      • Collaborate with device designers to ensure high volume manufacturability of medical devices.
      • Explore and test emerging technologies to support our journey towards Industry 4.0.
      • Be engaged in test, installation, and validation of (assembly and packaging) manufacturing equipment on production sites around the world.
      • Document robustness of products and processes through efficient and standardised validation processes and methods within assembly and packaging.
      • Develop and improve assembly and packaging processes and sharing best practice across production sites.

Coming into the office, you will find that the atmosphere is quite informal: yes, the pace is fast, and we love our work, but we also make room for getting lunch together, planning social activities, and having some fun. There is flexibility in terms of working from the office or from home and we fully trust you to find the right balance for yourself.

You will get to work closely with colleagues across the organisation to implement factory automation technologies throughout Novo Nordisk, to make our production lines more efficient and to improve the operator's productivity and decreasing the physical and mental strain induced by the tedious, repetitive tasks.

      Qualifications
The position is ideal for someone looking to land their first full-time job. You should have:

      • A minimum bachelor's degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field.
      • A passion for innovation and experience with continuous improvement, Agile, or Lean practices.
      • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
      • Proficiency in business-level English (both written and spoken).

We want to avoid placing people in boxes, but experience has shown us that if you are well organised, value quality and have pragmatic approach in your work you will fit naturally into the role. Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills will help you thrive in our global landscape.
Got some previous experience from a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical devices, food, aviation industries for example)? It will come to your advantage! Even if you don't meet all the requirements but are a curious, analytical, and problem-solving engineer, we'd love to hear from you!

      About the department
You will join Assembly & Packaging department in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) responsible for developing and maintaining robust and efficient assembly and packaging processes for medical devices and tablets in Novo Nordisk finished products.
