      Reporting to the Water Management & Geotechnical Engineering Supervisor, you will be part of the Environment Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

      • Ensure the performance of the tailings and water management infrastructure as per OMS manual procedure
      • Perform field inspection and analyze geotechnical instrumentation data (i.e piezometers, thermistors)
      • Ensure internal and external recommended actions following surveillance activities are implemented
      • Prepare engineering document (specifications, design report, drawings) for tailings deposition & water management infrastructure
      • Design of earthwork infrastructures such as channels, ditches, roads, culvert crossing, ponds, berms, finger dikes and remediation works
      • Provide technical expertise and implement engineering solution to ensure the performance of the water & tailings management infrastructure
      • Project management, QA/QC and as-built report for the construction and maintenance of water & tailings infrastructures
      • Plan and coordinate geotechnical investigations and geotechnical instrumentation campaigns
      • Plan tailings deposition activities with Muck-3D software
      • Analyze the performance of the tailings deposition to the deposition plan
      • Project Management of geotechnical mandates with consultants
      • Complete various projects assigned by the Water Management & Geotechnical Engineering Supervisor
      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field
      • 4-7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering applied to the mining industry
      • Experience with earthwork construction and field work is a strong asset
      • Experience with permafrost environment is considered an asset
      • Knowledge of Muck 3D software, Deswik and computer assisted drawing software (CAD) is considered an asset
      • Member of a Canadian Engineering society and eligible to NAPEG membership
      • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint

      Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

      Your Work Schedule:

      • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest
      • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
