Photronics Inc. is looking for a Metrology Engineer who takes pride in a finished product, is done right the first time, has the desire to learn, and strives for success in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Metrology support (80%)
  1. Filling in customer reports (Benchmark, ASML, KLA) and working to automate these
  2. Run, react to and maintain SPC data
  3. Improve CD SPC data collection process
  4. Reacting to OOS conditions, and becoming the torch-bearer for metro OCAP, improving Litho data and normalizing the skills and methods of the other technicians
  5. Setup new metro jobs creation of qualification metro jobs
  6. Create new and update old training documentation, then train process technicians to standard
  7. Reacting to ‘metro issues encountered’ data elements in real-time in order to provide greater detail and potential fixes for problems
• Fab support (20%)
  1. Support key areas for support; Examples:
     • MeRiT qualification support
     • MT2 flow modifications
     • Inspection disposition (Atlas, Titan review etc.)

• Development or modification of processes during the manufacture of photomasks to enhance the capability, throughput, and yield
• Document process of record for new or improved processes to ensure the product is manufactured as required
• Work closely with manufacturing technicians to ensure changes have been implemented
• Compile and evaluate test and production data to determine appropriate process limits and capability
• Troubleshoot process excursions and develop corrective actions to prevent their reoccurrence
• Work collaboratively with fellow Engineers and technicians throughout the manufacturing flow to conceive and plan projects to improve manufacturability

Qualifications/Skills/Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or applicable engineering discipline required
• Experience in photomask or semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom environment
• Experience with photomask inspection, metrology, repair, and yield/defect control is preferred
• Knowledge of various cleaning, developing, etching, and patterning (lithography) techniques
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Motivated, independent thinker that works well with teams

Work Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Cleanroom environment. Must wear cleanroom attire, and protective equipment and follow cleanroom protocol
• Lifting, handling, pouring, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds
• Frequent bending and squatting to reach difficult areas
• May be required to stand or sit for extended periods
• Use of computer, mouse, and microscope
