- Metrology support (80%)
- Filling in customer reports (Benchmark, ASML, KLA) and working to automate these
- Run, react to and maintain SPC data
- Improve CD SPC data collection process
- Reacting to OOS conditions, and becoming the torch-bearer for metro OCAP, improving Litho data and normalizing the skills and methods of the other technicians
- Setup new metro jobs creation of qualification metro jobs
- Create new and update old training documentation, then train process technicians to standard
- Reacting to ‘metro issues encountered’ data elements in real-time in order to provide greater detail and potential fixes for problems
- Fab support (20%)
- Support key areas for support; Examples:
- MeRiT qualification support
- MT2 flow modifications
- Inspection disposition (Atlas, Titan review etc.)
- Support key areas for support; Examples:
- Development or modification of processes during the manufacture of photomasks to enhance the capability, throughput, and yield
- Document process of record for new or improved processes to ensure the product is manufactured as required
- Work closely with manufacturing technicians to ensure changes have been implemented
- Compile and evaluate test and production data to determine appropriate process limits and capability
- Troubleshoot process excursions and develop corrective actions to prevent their reoccurrence
- Work collaboratively with fellow Engineers and technicians throughout the manufacturing flow to conceive and plan projects to improve manufacturability
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or applicable engineering discipline required
- Experience in photomask or semiconductor processing and working in a cleanroom environment
- Experience with photomask inspection, metrology, repair, and yield/defect control is preferred
- Knowledge of various cleaning, developing, etching, and patterning (lithography) techniques
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Motivated, independent thinker that works well with teams
- Cleanroom environment. Must wear cleanroom attire, and protective equipment and follow cleanroom protocol
- Lifting, handling, pouring, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Frequent bending and squatting to reach difficult areas
- May be required to stand or sit for extended periods
- Use of computer, mouse, and microscope
