  Division: Material and Structural Analysis Division - Materials Characterization

  Discover Impactful Work:

  You will provide onsite and (limited) remote customer support and service for our SEM/SDB product lines. Join our great Benelux service team, and provide the best service experience possible for our Science customers!

  You will work remote, travel from home to our customers and provide them with top service. Overnight stay (hotel) will be needed roughly 25% of your time.

  A day in the Life:

  • Provide onsite installation of instruments, upgrades, updates, repairs and planned maintenance service
  • Display integrity, understanding, tact, fairness and technical knowledge in all customer interactions
  • Achieve specified revenue targets while satisfying customer from instrument repair, installs and PM’s
  • Establish relationships with customers to offer and close the sale of service contracts and other service products
  • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes
  • Handle spare parts: ordering, usage, returns, physical count, car stock management, etc.
  • Carry out Qualification & Validation Products at customer sites
  • Maintain technical proficiency level servicing new instrument and problems by attending trainings, staff meetings and remaining up to speed on new products, markets, customers and competitors
  • Manage travel expenses and follow travel policies and guidelines

  Keys to Success:

  Education

  • Diploma or equivalent education preferable in the field of electrical engineering or engineering (HBO).

  Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of meaningful experience in a related science, engineering and/or customer facing role around application of analytical technology.
  • Experience in technical services on electronic scientific instruments desired.

  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good knowledge of electronics and mechanics
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer friendliness and a professional demeanor
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills passionate about electromechanical, software and application issues.
  • Analytical and solution driven mentality
  • Global mind-set and adept at managing intercultural relationships
  • Proficient in English, with a second language suited to region
  • Ability to travel frequently (internationally- Benelux)
  • Valid driver's license
