      Role: As a Locksmith in the hotel and casino industry, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of locking systems, including electronic and mechanical locks, in a high-security environment. This role requires a deep understanding of security protocols and the ability to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets within the facility.

      Key Responsibilities:

      1. Installation and Maintenance:

      - Install, repair, and maintain locks, keys, and security systems.

      - Program and troubleshoot electronic key card systems.

      - Ensure all locking mechanisms are functioning correctly and efficiently.

      2. Security and Safety:

      - Implement and adhere to security protocols and procedures.

      - Conduct regular inspections of locks and security systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.

      - Respond to emergency situations, such as lockouts or security breaches, promptly and efficiently.

      3. Key Management:

      - Manage and maintain key control systems, including the creation, duplication, and tracking of keys.

      - Maintain records of all key issues, returns, and replacements.

      - Ensure the security and confidentiality of master keys.

      4. Customer Service:

      - Provide excellent customer service to guests and staff regarding lock and key issues.

      - Assist guests with lockouts and other access-related problems in a professional and courteous manner.

      - Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve security concerns.

      5. Technical Skills:

      - Utilize specialized locksmith tools and equipment to perform tasks.

      - Stay updated on the latest advancements in lock technology and security systems.

      - Train and supervise junior locksmiths or security staff as needed.

      6. Regulatory Compliance:

      - Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

      - Maintain accurate documentation of all locksmith activities and security measures.

      - Participate in security audits and assessments as required.

      Qualifications:

      - High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a recognized locksmith training program is preferred.

      - Extensive experience in locksmithing, particularly in a high-security environment.

      - Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic locking systems.

      - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

      - Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

      - Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.

      - Background in physical security and experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.

      Physical Requirements:

      - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

      - Comfortable working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.

      - Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

      This role is critical in maintaining the security and integrity of the hotel and casino environment, ensuring a safe and secure experience for all guests and staff.

When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.

      • Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
