      Who We Are:

      We have operations in Saint Louis, Missouri, Milford, Connecticut and Huntington Beach, California, serving local, national and international customers, both military and commercial. The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to our customers.


      Position Summary:

      We are currently looking for an Engineering Intern to work with our engineering teams to provide the candidate with meaningful, real world engineering experiences. This role is part of our summer internship program and includes collaborating primarily with engineers working on both new product development and sustaining current products at the manufacturing sites. Successful candidates will be self-starters, intellectually curious, detail oriented, and have excellent communication skills.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      · Work with engineers to execute engineering change notices (ECNs) in SolidWorks.

      · Work within Essex Vault structure to release updated documents.

      · Design and fabricate equipment utilized in the testing and evaluation of our products.

      · Generate 3D printed models using our rapid prototyping machines.

      · Collaborate with engineering staff to write technical reports.

      · Write weekly notes to document project activities and progress.

      Requirements

      Education and Experience:

      Enrolled in and at least 3 years towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. SolidWorks or equivalent CAD experience required.
