      As our new Structural Engineer, you will be part of Ramboll’s Offshore Wind team consisting of over 200 professionals. Operating primarily from offices in Denmark, Germany and the UK along with colleagues worldwide including India, China, USA, Japan and Poland, the offshore wind team support offshore projects around the world, delivering the full suite of services required to develop an offshore windfarm including the design for offshore wind turbine support structures and foundations. Having completed the detailed design of over 65 offshore wind farms, you will join a team with a wealth of experience in to draw upon and learn from.       Job Description

      Your Responsibilities as a Structural Engineer

      • Learn an internal tool “ROSAP” to use in structural calculations.
      • 2 - 6 years' experience in design of steel structures. Offshore experience is advantageous.
      • Perform detailed structural calculations (e.g. monopiles or jacket structures) and to work with an international team of steel engineers on project teams referring to the Discipline Leads, Project or Design Manager
      • Deliver primary steel design work packages for concept, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed designs in collaboration with primary steel engineers and other disciplines and referring to the Design Manager and other discipline Lead Engineers
      • Oversee the analysis and optimisation of structural designs through skilled examination of results and important design drivers.
      • Perform Quality Assurance of computer models and project documentation.
      • Contribution to Ramboll’s technical development board, which is our research intelligence centre in the field of primary steel design

      Qualifications

      • A master’s degree in civil or structural Engineering; preferably with a focus on the design of offshore structures or similar areas of study. Doctorate studies in a relevant field will be considered a plus.
      • 2 - 6 years' experience in design of steel structures. Offshore experience is advantageous.
      • Knowledge of offshore wind foundations, structural dynamics and/or wind loading.
      • A good understanding of the offshore renewables industry and experience designing offshore structures.
      • Experience with structural design software and programming languages, preferably Python.
      • Good communication skills in English with the ability to work as part of a team interfacing with other disciplines and other stakeholders both in person and remotely.
      • Knowledge of advanced engineering concepts such as Fatigue, Dynamics, Non-Linear analyses & etc is advantageous.
      • Should be well conversant with design standard requirements.
      • Experience in advanced usage of MS office tools (Excel/Word/Power Point) is preferable.
      • Able to perform tasks independently, speak up actively and have the willingness to go for an extra mile.
      • It is advantageous to have experience in software package such as e.g. RFEM, STAAD-PRO, SACS, SESAM or similar
