      Location- Pune

      Business Context

      Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

      Client Conversion & Integration

      We work closely with our stakeholders across the Bank, including Corporate Bank’s business areas, the Bank’s other pillars and Technology and Operations. We aim to deliver products and solutions that are easy-to-use, reliable, stable, flexible, quick-to-market, innovative, scalable and cost efficient. We act as a “translation layer” for the business, aligning and translating client and market needs into something that can be developed. The Client Conversion & Integration team within Corporate Bank Technology is responsible for the efficient delivery of conversion services offered by Corporate Bank to their clients. As member of our team you will be based in Bangalore, India and work as an engineer for MessageBroker-DCS application.

      Your key responsibilities

      • The Engineer designs and develops application code, implements technical solutions, and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems.
      • To meet the requirements of the business, the Engineer actively participates in the design and architecture of the application or its components, investigates and proposes appropriate technologies to be used, promotes re-usability of existing components and contributes to the creation of frameworks.
      • Assists more junior members of the team and controls their work where applicable.
      • Understand the strategic and global business drivers for Client Integration & Conversion services and ensure that local and regional solutions fit in this global strategy ensuring a cost-efficient solution
      • Participated in identifying best practices and understand trends and opportunities
      • Work as one global team with the team members in Germany, Singapore and India
      • Act as product owner for specific formats (MT, MX, PSDP… etc) for Cash Management business and be responsible for design of conversion and translation from standard formats into customized message or file formats or vice versa.
      • Ability to understand various standard formats and design and perform conversions via IBM Transformation Extender software (or any similar conversion software) will be a key requirement.
      • Knowledge and hands on experience with Swift Translator software is a plus
      • Work closely with horizontal application squad on the delivery of conversion, messaging and integration products and functionalities
      • Understand business cases for change initiatives

      Your Skills and Experience:

      • Degree in Business, Economics or Computer Science.
      • +5 years relevant working experience in the Transaction Banking area
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English paired with strong presentation skills - additional language skills are welcome
      • Mandatory experience in financial services or large corporate environments
      • Profound analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
      • Good communication and excellent interpersonal skills
      • Pro-active and flexible working approach
      • Ability to think outside the box to resolve problems
      • Efficient and well organized, detail oriented
      • Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices
      • Familiarity with Project management principles
      • Desirable experience in Agile methodology and tooling
      • Knowledge of Application Architectures and fundamental principles of software interfaces
      • Knowledge of global standard formats in Transaction Banking area such as Swift MT and MX formats
      • Knowledge and hands on experience with IBM Transformation Extender software (or any similar conversion software)
      • Knowledge and hands on experience with Swift Translator software is a plus
