      Duties


      • You will work with others to manage team resources to execute tasks that directly support project requirements.
      • You will perform professional engineering and scientific work involving the design, construction, and operation of computer systems, including hardware and software and their integration.
      • You will work with others to develop, test and evaluate information systems, analyzing design constraints and analyzing trade-offs and detailed system and security design throughout the systems lifecycle.
      • You will complete moderately complex tasks independently with minimal oversight, provide oversight, review, or mentor entry- and peer level engineers.
      • You will manage and complete multidimensional, complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentors others regularly ensuring appropriate succession, and leads others to accomplish complex, cross-organizational goals.

      Requirements


      • Must be a US Citizen.
      • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
      • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

      • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

      • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
      • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
      • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
      • Generally, current Federal employees applying to STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.

      Qualifications


      ND-03 (GS 9-11):
      In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or ND-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional ENGINEER executing tasks directly supporting the design, construction, and operation of computer systems.

      ND-04 (GS 12-13):
      In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or ND-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional ENGINEER managing multiple complex projects that involved the design, construction, and operation of computer systems.
