Engineer (Structural) – Residential & Multifamily Design

- Req#: 32748299836
- Prepare structural drawings in AutoCAD or Revit for review by the Engineer of Record (EOR) and jurisdictional plan reviewers.
- Perform structural calculations for EOR and jurisdictional approval.
- Coordinate with architectural designers to ensure seamless integration of structural and architectural elements.
- Address and revise structural documents based on architectural adjustments, city review comments, and EOR feedback.
- Develop structural details, calculations, and plan notes for various projects.
- Assist in construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing structural submittals, and conducting site observations.
- Gain hands-on experience in all phases of design and permitting.
- 4+ years of full-time structural engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
- Experience designing light-frame wood structures in high seismic zones (such as San Diego).
- Knowledge of foundation and retaining wall design.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Excel, RISA Suite, and Enercalc (expertise in all is not required, but familiarity is preferred).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Competitive Salary: $85,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience) + performance-based bonuses.
