      Under general supervision of the Director of Industrial Engineering, the Engineering Analyst is responsible for providing decision support through financial and situational analysis. This position carries out business analysis functions as well as systems and software maintenance to directly support Engineering, Operations, Linehaul, and Senior Management.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborates with Field Operations and cross-functional departments to gather information and create and disseminate appropriate reporting and analytics.
      • Provides research and analytical support to internal customers including, but not limited to, financial analysis, data analysis, trend identification, as well as monitoring and summarizing the progress of strategic initiatives.
      • Identifies KPIs and opportunities through regression analysis and advanced analytical skills.
      • Identifies business challenges and opportunities for improvement and uses analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations.
      • Performs ad hoc requests for reports determining operational trends, terminal performance analysis, exception reporting analysis, etc.
      • Assesses current business analysis processes and provides recommendations for new methods to enhance analytics for internal customers.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field
      • 1 year of experience in related field preferred
      • Experience performing business analysis or financial/statistical data
      • Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Power BI is a plus
      • Knowledge of syndicated data like NTD and Nielson is a plus
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
