      Engineering Co-Op

      Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

      Department: Engineering, Safety and Compliance

      Position Summary

      Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineering Co-op. The Co-op will be responsible for assisting the Safety and Compliance Engineering department in a wide variety of engineering initiatives and projects in support of the co-op’s academic studies. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.

      Project Deliverables:

      • Visual Standards Map for Plug Power Hydrogen Ecosystem
      • Visual Map for Certification Requirements Worldwide for Plug Power Products.
      • Duration of the program is 6-12 months and can be part time or full-time, it depends on the student’s academic program, with expected start in Spring Semester.

      Core Duties and Responsibilities

      • Develop and maintain a basic understanding of all Plug Power products.
      • Learned about Product Compliance and Certification for North America and EU.
      • Working with medium and large size databases.
      • Working with Product management and Compliance Engineering on assigned tasks.
      • Understanding of Business analytics
      • Developing Plug Power Products Compliance and Standards Visual Map based on provided databases.
      • Perform all other duties as assigned.

      Education and Qualification

      • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related program
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Data Analysis: Understanding the dataset's structure, patterns, and relationships is crucial.
      • Programming Languages: Mastery in languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript for data manipulation and visualization libraries.
      • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Dealing with large datasets involves data cleaning, transformation, and pre-processing.
      • Dashboard Creation: Experience in building interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or programming languages for creating user-friendly interfaces to explore data.
      • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
      • Excellent follow-through
      • Must be driven and self-motivated
      • Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality

      Pay Rate:

      $20.07 - $26.90
