Want to bring ideas to life?

As an Engineering Geologist or Scientist you’re no doubt aware of Aurecon – we’ve been a leading design, engineering and advisory company for decades. But why should you choose to join us?

Every project Aurecon delivers leaves a legacy. Every project has sustainability embedded in decision making. And every project is at the leading-edge of technical eminence.

But it really comes down to one, crucial question: what kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? Truth is, the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?

How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As our new Engineering Geologist based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, you’ll be a vital part of the Ground & Underground Engineering and NZ Transport team. You will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of infrastructure projects – from planning, investigation, geohazard assessments and characterisation through to designs for geohazards.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

      • Bring experience in Engineering Geology to Aurecon opportunities and projects.

      • Maintain knowledge of guidelines, technical standards, legislation and codes of practice appropriate to engineering geological practice in New Zealand.

      • Applying your local industry experience to solving our clients’ problems

      • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports

      • Bringing your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and developing new business using your existing industry networks

How will your future be shaped by us?

You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident your voice will be heard. We don’t just claim we’re inclusive and innovative, as proven by the independent awards and accreditations we’ve gained. We’ve been recognised for our innovation culture, gender equality and our LGBTI+ inclusion, including being the first engineering company in Aotearoa New Zealand to receive the Rainbow Tick . Our Māori Strategy – He Rautaki Māori, won two Good Design Awards awards in 2022 for its outstanding contributions in bringing He Rautaki Māori and digital innovation into operations and decision-making processes.

On a personal level you’ll have access to the following:

      • We offer paid and unpaid parental leave options that support both primary and secondary carers over and above statutory minimum requirements, and in addition to Government provided parental leave.
