- Designs components or functional systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
- Produces documentation for design history file of assigned projects, adhering to Arthrex design control procedures.
- Determines necessity of testing and initiates testing of assigned products.
- Reports progress and status of assigned projects on a timely basis.
- This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.
- Progress towards a college degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering required. Junior or senior preferred. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
- PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
- Experience with CAD required.

The Extremities & Trauma Engineering team in Naples, Florida, is responsible for the full life cycle development of medical devices, which includes initiation, design, development, execution, and product maintenance. The successful candidate will support product development activities with attention to detail and clear communication with cross-functional teams. This internship will run from May 2024 – August 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.
Main Objective:
To develop practical engineering skills by working directly with product development engineers on new product development and maintenance projects.

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
