Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Team in either the power focused group or with the controls group. The Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and commissioning of power distributions and/or control systems in both manufacturing and industrial environments. • Assisting in the design, specification, and coordination of industrial electrical or control systems
• Assisting team members in delivering on-time, high quality drawing packages
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• 0-4 years of electrical experience/education
• Be working towards an engineering degree

Preferred Skills:

• Good communication (verbal, written, listening) and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of, or interest in, manufacturing, industrial, and electrical systems
• Ability to work with superintendents, engineers, estimators, and customers

Travel:

Travel will be required 0-25% of the time.
