      Emerson’s Discrete Automation business is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team for a hands-on learning experience in the design, development, and support of industrial solutions. The intern will assist in a variety of engineering tasks.

      In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

      • Assist with various research, testing, and evaluations
      • Assist in creating and updating engineering documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
      • Conduct research, gather data, and perform analysis to assist with product improvement initiatives
      • Assist in creating and updating engineering documentation, including CAD drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
      • Perform basic assembly, measurement, and testing under supervision.
      • Work cross-functionally with teams to support engineering projects.
      • Present findings and progress updates to the engineering team as required.

      You are someone who works collaboratively in a group environment and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills. You take initiative, can be resourceful, and can make progress on work independently. You take ownership of your goals, regularly check-in, and ask questions in a timely manner to ensure success of project and task

      For this Role, You Will Need:

      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
      • Strong academic background with coursework relevant to mechanical systems or automation.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
      • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
      • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

      Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

      • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
