What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of backend/frontend engineers
- Incubate new ideas and create the engineering roadmap for the team
- Collaborate with business partners and product managers to deliver technical solutions
- Recruit new engineers to grow and expand teams
- Guide the team by providing perspective on the larger vision and encouraging exceptional execution

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ software engineers
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Professional experience with large-scale distributed systems
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related discipline

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Expertise with messaging apps or features
- Experience with Java, Javascript, and Typescript
