- Oversee, manage, and track all engineering design activities (eBOM, CAD, drawing release, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, etc.) for the entire KPH portfolio of products, to ensure that all engineering program deliverables are met in support of the overall product cycle plan and defined PDL requirements.
- Define and document key engineering processes, design guidelines, and product validation plans (i.e., DFMEA, DVP, etc.) for the entire KPH portfolio of products.
- Develop process methodology to securely and efficiently catalog, store and archive our engineering and design intellectual property.
- Work with corporate PMO and IT resources to implement our Product Data Management (PDM) tool (Team Center).
- Identify and document product compliance / certification requirements for each target market and ensure global safety and regulatory requirements are achieved (utilize corporate knowledge – Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for this).
- Build and maintain a product engineering team that possesses the necessary skill sets, resources, and bandwidth to support the entire KPH portfolio of products.
- Anticipate future engineering resource capacity constraints and communicate the need for supplemental resource needs.
- Participate in the creation of new product PDL’s (led by Product Strategy/Marketing/Portfolio Director).
- Interpret the product requirements and define the set of engineering specifications, design content, materials, engineering resources, costs, etc. to meet the product deliverables.
- Define and manage the engineering project expenses for the annual business plan.
- Monthly Reporting, Quarterly projections and 5 Year plan.
- Leverage and integrate Enterprise services and capabilities (i.e., engineering expertise, testing services, prototyping services, CAE, etc.) where appropriate into our product development process to improve product quality, shorten development lead times, reduce prototype iterations, and minimize warranty risk.
- Investigate new and improved ways to drive innovation into our products to differentiate our products from the competition.
- Ensure product design team operates in compliance with the Product Development process.
- Oversee Product Warranty and Technical assistance team.
- Review reporting on warranty costs, trends and provide documentation needed for warranty & service of products.
- Coordinate workstreams with Calibration Development Manager to ensure proper hardware and software integration of final product.
- Provide hardware design, development, release & functional signoff for all product lines and lines of business.
- Support all current and past related engineering issues.
- Support Quality (8Ds, PPAPs) and Manufacturing Engineering (new product integration, plant support).
- Provide Field Service Engineering support / resolution; represent engineering team in weekly PRT meetings.
- 5% Domestic Travel.
- 40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Education/Experience Required:3 years of undergraduate education in Automotive Engineering Technology.
24 months experience as a Project Engineer.
24 months experience in: TeamCenter PLM; Peoplesoft ERP; Salesforce CRM; RDT diagnostic tool; DynoJet/Winpep 7; 3D models in Catia & SolidWorks; Autodesk Moldflow; Magmasoft.
18 months experience in: Jama Connect.
