We are hiring a Engineering Specialist to join our growing Building team based out of either Ottawa or Toronto . The successful candidate will work in a structural team within a multidiscipline office and shall work on varied projects .

  Your role within the team:

  • Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry) .
  • Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports, and structural inspections .
  • Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase .
  • Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code.
  • Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process) .
  • Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships .

  The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
  • Two to five years of previous related experience in a similar role .
  • Intermediate experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.) .
  • Valid Peng designation with PEO or working towards it.
  • Detail oriented with ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
