Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern in Florham Park, NJ for Summer 2024. This position will be responsible for performing entry-level mechanical, electrical and/or controls engineering activities associated with the design of Automatic Transfer Switches. What will you do? Assist experienced engineers with various activities (i.e. CAD, SCADA programming, Process Improvement, Test Automation, Etc.) Help organize design engineering documentation Shadow experienced engineers & designers in day-to-day work activities Participate in training program Continuous experimentation to add value to the team while reducing waste What qualifications will make you successful? Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level status in relevant engineering degree program Basic understanding of mechanical / electrical engineering / computer science / equivalent Basic verbal and written communication skills including but not limited to listening effectively, soliciting input from others, and working well in a team environment Basic ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently Familiar with CAD 2D/3D & CAD management systems is a plus for some projects Local to the Florham Park, NJ office and available full-time starting in June 2024 We know skills and competencies show up in many different ways and can be based on your life experience.
