      ISEE is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with a good mix of electrical and mechanical skills. This hire will work alongside engineers to implement electromechanical systems, update the existing fleet, and launch new vehicles at customer sites. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant work experience.


      Responsibilities

      - Interface electromechanical systems with conventional automotive vehicles

      - Build up electrical and/or mechatronic systems

      - Test and troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems

      - Debug issues stemming from either add-on modifications, inherent vehicle issues, or the interface between the two

      - Documentation of in-field issues and maintenance

      - Write reports and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers.

      - Assist in autonomous vehicle bring-up at customer locations

      - Basic software work; uploading updated code to various vehicle subsystems

      - Communicate issues with a remote hardware team, local mechanics and test engineers


      Required Skills

      - Ability to read, write, and interpret technical drawings & schematics

      - Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair

      - Diagnostics and troubleshooting experience

      - Basic electrical skills: Soldering, ingress protection, fault identification, wiring harnesses.

      - Basic mechanical skills (knows their way around a vehicle)

      - Familiarity with air systems, preferably semi-truck air brake systems

      - Able to lift more than 40 lbs.

      - Travel requirement up to 30%


      Preferred

      - Robotics/autonomous systems/transportation experience is a plus

      - SMT soldering experience, including hand board assembly (solder paste, ovens, hand solder work)

      - Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and sealants

      - General knowledge of materials and their mechanical properties
