What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform drafting and design work and complete related paperwork and engineering records
- Conduct maintenance activities associated with the design of company facilities
- Prepare manual or computer-assisted drawings in accordance with company standards
- Compile cost estimates for construction projects and coordinate activities on company projects
- Design the installation and/or relocation of company facilities, including material and piping configuration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year of AutoCAD design experience, proof of AutoCAD class taken, or a certificate of completion of Basics of AutoCAD
- Vocational or technical training in an engineering or related discipline
- A valid state driver's license
- Good computer, math, communication, and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with GIS and utilities
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Understanding of welding, plastic fusion, inspection, and test procedures
- Awareness of state and federal regulations regarding facility design and construction
