      Department Overview:

      IvyRead is an educational startup focused on promoting English proficiency among Chinese young students through the use of authentic leveled reading materials, blended with STEM and environmental education. The company was founded by Mr. Mi Yan, a Cornell alum and a former faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

      Schedule:

      Applicants need to be able to work in the early morning. Our major tutoring time is 6:30 am to 8:00 am CT. We will coordinate with you about the teaching time to find ones that work for both.

      Qualifications:

      Be 18+ years old
      Native English speaker
      Work Study Required

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Working experience with K-5 students
      If you have teaching English as a foreign or second language experience, that is superb! If not, it is OK! Training and lesson plans are provided.
      Be reliable, professional, patient, and kind
      Check email regularly
      Have a working computer & reliable internet
      Be comfortable using Zoom
      Be able to work in the early morning. Our major tutoring time is 6:00 am to 8:00 am CT.

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      IvyRead is hiring ESL/EFL teachers to support our tutoring programs for preschool and elementary students in China. The classes are based on leveled reading materials focusing on STEM and environmental education. Teachers provide online English pronunciation, speaking and reading classes in the 2025 spring and summer semesters. The training and class materials are provided.       Physical Demands:
