      THE POSITION:

      The Enrichment Coordinator will play a crucial role in the development and execution of a comprehensive program designed to enhance the lives of adults, seniors, families, and children residing in Permanent Supportive Housing Project Based sites. This position will be responsible for creating and implementing a schedule of weekly and monthly educational and social activities that will foster a sense of community and promote stabilization among our residents. Responsibilities will include creating and maintaining relationships with community partners, as well as designing and implementing programming that aligns with the unique needs of our residents. Additionally, the Enrichment Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the success of the programs designed and implemented.

      WHAT YOU’LL DO:

      • Conduct assessments of the needs and interests of residents through surveys and personal interviews
      • Plan, organize, and oversee on-site meetings, social activities, and educational programs for adults, seniors, and children that align with the unique needs of our residents
      • Identify and connect residents with community resources to support their housing needs (such as low-cost health insurance, food programs, employment, and government entitlements) and provide assistance with the application process
      • Develop and implement a curriculum and event calendar that supports life skills and overall well-being in alignment with the Housing First model, and helps tenants sustain self-sufficiency
      • Facilitate and supervise monthly calendar activities, as well as develop and manage a calendar and articles for the monthly community newsletter
      • Build and maintain positive working relationships with service teams, clinical teams, property managers, community partners, and volunteers
      • Maintain organization of physical space and administrative paperwork and assist residents in using the on-site computer lab
      • Outreach to the community through automated calls, flyers, and door-to-door visits, and refer residents to appropriate agencies and provide support for follow-through
      • Collect and report data regarding resident and volunteer programs; provide a safe and nurturing environment for all residents; and implement developmentally-appropriate curriculum for residents of various ages and abilities in the areas of Health and Wellness, Art and Crafts, Multiculturalism, Service Learning, Technology, and Performing Arts

      OTHER

      • Participate in agency and community meetings as directed by supervisor
      • Drive personal vehicle in and around Los Angeles County and periodically drive agency vehicles
      • Perform additional tasks, projects and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

      WHAT YOU’RE SKILLED AT:

      • Demonstrated proficiency in working with diverse, vulnerable, and high-need populations, including individuals from marginalized communities who may have mental illness, concurrent disorders, a history of homelessness, and people with special needs
      • Proven experience in conducting community and individual needs assessments through a lens of equity and inclusivity, and in planning, initiating, and managing projects that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
      • Experience in coordinating services with teams of stakeholders, including residents, through a DEI perspective and building partnerships with diverse organizations and community groups
      • Experience with partnership development and management and evaluation
      • Ability to exercise independent judgment and leadership abilities, with strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, and experience with working with multilingual and multicultural communities is a plus
      • HMIS and CHAMP experience highly desired

      OTHER

      • Maintains and executes confidential information according to HIPAA standards
      • Obtain and maintains CPR/First Aid Certification
      • Ability to pass post offer Tuberculosis (TB) clearances
      • Travel is a regular duty for this position and is required 50% of the time
      • Use of a personal vehicle to travel between worksites and other locations is required
      • Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance in good standing
      • Ability to work a 9/80 work schedule and be flexible with working weekends

      WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED:

      • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in social services, with a strong focus on working with marginalized and diverse communities
      • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in volunteer coordination, event planning, and/or curriculum development
