      Business Context

      Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

      New Growth Initiatives

      Financial services are becoming more and more embedded in the life and business process contexts of people and companies (Small, Medium and Large Corporates). This evolution of the market means that Banks and other financial service providers need to deliver their products in an easily consumable digital way to encourage easier Customer adoption and integration. This ease of consumption is the key to becoming their ‘platform of choice’ for financial services. New Growth initiatives is a group specifically targeted at delivering digital solutions around our growth topics in a low-friction and easily consumable manner that benefits businesses for whom banking is not their core business but a service that they require. These offerings will deliver digital interfaces and capabilities to our core banking services for businesses that would prefer a low-touch low-friction low-complexity approach.

      Your Assignment

      • Analysis of existing business processes and underlying system landscape with focus on the specific requirements for German small & medium enterprise Clients (SMEs, e.g. “Mittelstand”)

      • Definition and recommendation of application architectures to support our business processes based on architecture blueprints, reference architectures and in line with the Target Architecture for Corporate Bank Germany

      • Development, coordination and documentation of tactical and strategic solution options for architectural challenges, application design and roadmaps. The integration with platforms of Private Banking, Finance, Risk and Treasury platforms is an important success factor due to the special requirements of small business customers.

      • Identification of weaknesses in current business processes and IT architecture, work out optimization potential as a basis for the target architecture.

      • Coordination of necessary activities across tribes and squads. Close cooperation with the corresponding global domain architects of the business domains such as Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, Channels, Securities Services and Enterprise Services.

      Your skills and experience

      • Several years of experience in the IT architecture of banks, including the analysis of business processes to develop a technical architecture based on a functional architecture and its requirements. Used to work in an agile setup, experience with Agile Methodologies.

      • Good general banking knowledge, in-depth knowledge and experience in at least two specific banking domains desirable.

      • In-depth knowledge of different technology platforms including cloud environments (ideally Google Cloud) and midrange but also the mainframe platform.

      • Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience in Java, web services (RESTful services), databases (Relational DBs and No-SQL), and data exchange (JMS, JSON, XML).

      • Very good language skills in English, German would be a big plus.
